I have over 800 records with 95% of the collection falling between 1979-1989 or what I call the 'Golden Years'. Don't get me wrong, I
like oldies, classic rock, old school country, and all kinds of good shit from the last 20 years but the eighties will always be my favorite.
If you've ever been to an 80's night at a club or listened to a radio or internet station devoted to this time period you know that the
same songs get played over and over. I love the term "Deep Cuts" which refers to the songs on any album that were not radio hits and
that's what this collection is all about. I went through every album (and 12" and 45 and tape and cd) in my collection, listened to every
track, and selected my favorite song from each. The result is like nothing you have ever heard. This is no Super Hits of the 80's or a KFOG
10 at 10. This is OVER 60 HOURS of amazing music from eleven great years!
My collection is not obscure. You will recognize all your favorite artists from this period though it might take a minute or two which
makes for a fun "name that artist" game.
There is an average of over 5 hours of music for each year and it will shuffle differently each time so you can come back for a new
experience or if you find yourself trapped in an elevator for a few days you can shuffle The Whole Enchilada.
